Pikaboo assortment expansion
From supplier feeds to a ~20,000-SKU store catalog
A high-level pipeline: wholesale feeds, normalization, Croatian copy, QA, import to .com, then automatic publish to .si (translated) with stock synced via custom scripts.
Situation
Pikaboo needed to bring a large toys-and-home catalog from multiple suppliers into a Croatian storefront - without hand-entering thousands of products - and keep .com and .si catalogs aligned.
Bottleneck
Feeds differ in schema, pricing, categories, and language. Manual import at this scale creates duplicates, wrong filters, and inconsistent copy - and an interrupted import must not leave the catalog half-done. The second storefront (.si) must not fall behind on content or stock.
What we built
An ops pipeline in six stages: ingest and dedupe feeds, map into Pikaboo categories and attributes, HR titles and SEO descriptions, merge into import XML (~16,000 products), batch QA/patch and resumable import to .com, then step 6 - automatic publish of translated products to .si with stock synced via custom scripts.
Outcome
A ship-ready catalog in production on .com, with automatic handoff to .si (translated) and aligned stock.
Detail
AI assists translation and SEO drafts; human QA and client spot-checks close the deliverable. After publish on .com, custom scripts push translated products to .si and sync stock.
